Expert Witness Fees and Court Attendance Charges
Expert Witness Fees are agreed in advance in the Terms of Engagement and charged at an hourly rate, based on the estimated time required to review the case bundle and prepare an expert report. All reasonable travel, subsistence, and accommodation expenses are recoverable at cost plus 10%, with receipts provided for all claims.
Court appearances are charged at a fixed daily fee, inclusive of any waiting time. Time will be set aside and scheduled for court attendance 28 days prior to the case being called. If the case does not proceed on the appointed date within this period, a cancellation fee will apply, as outlined in the Terms of Engagement cancellation table.
All costs are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate.
Detailed Review Standard Bundle & Time Allocation
Foreseeable considers the standard bundle of documents for a Detailed Review (Thorough Analysis & Initial Observations) to typically comprise of 75 pages. This review includes pre-reading and assessing all relevant materials, the quality of theand replace with…risk assessment, risk matrix, supporting documents and checking for inconsistencies, missing information, or compliance issues. The standard time allocated for this process is 6 hours.
Any additional time required for reviewing further materials such as DVDs, videos, extensive documentation, manuals, detailed method statements or procedures will be discussed and costs agreed in advance.
